Oneohtrix Point Never

Although a little out of place at a music festival like this, I still have the softest of spots for this guy. With surprisingly loud drones and textures, it seemed like most people didn’t really know what to do at this show. I think the people laying down and sitting in the back had the right idea. There was an interesting respite from the haziness with ‘Up.’ I think it’s pretty funny that the most accessible and dance-able part of this show was in 7/4. But the droning was entertaining on its own. It was really interesting how OPN himself jammed to the songs, finding a seemingly invisible beat to vibe to. I also really loved the faces he would make for every time he’d add a new texture to the mix. Pretty. Odd.
